Delete Your Account
Mycelia is a self-sovereign identity wallet. Your account exists entirely on your device - we do not store your identity keys, recovery phrase, or personal data on any server. Deleting your account means erasing this data from your device.
How to delete your account
- Open the Mycelia app.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
What gets deleted
- Your identity keys (private keys stored in your device's secure enclave)
- Your recovery phrase (mnemonic)
- Wallet data and transaction history stored locally
- App preferences and saved settings
- All locally cached data (recent apps, bookmarks)
This action is irreversible. If you have not backed up your recovery phrase or printed your recovery shares, you will permanently lose access to your identity and any associated funds.
What we don't store
Mycelia does not maintain server-side accounts. There is no remote database, cloud backup, or user profile to delete on our end. Your identity lives on your device and nowhere else. Once you delete your account from the app, the data is gone.
If you have previously connected to third-party services through Mycelia, those services may retain their own records of interactions. Contact those services directly regarding their data retention policies.
Uninstalling the app
Uninstalling Mycelia from your device also removes all stored data, including your identity keys and recovery phrase. This has the same effect as deleting your account from within the app.
